Professional Registration

Nurse

To work in Ireland you must be registered with An Bord Altranais.  As long as you meet the requirements and are registered with the appropriate registration Authority in your own country, there should be no reason why you cannot register in Ireland.

You may need to:
1. Complete an adaptation course which will be decided by the Irish Nursing Board.
2. Take and IELTS (English Language Test) to work in Ireland again which will be decided by the Irish Nursing Board.
3. A work permit/visa (which we will help you with)

If you are considering a nursing career in Ireland it is advisable to start the process as soon as possible as it can take six to twelve weeks.  Sigmar Health will be able to help and advise you regarding the registration process.

Doctors

To work in Ireland you must be registered with the Irish Medical Organisation, there are four components in the process

1. Register with the Irish Medical council
2. Complete an Assessment Test (medical and english language)
3. A work permit/visa (which we will help you with)
4. Register with the police
