Nursing Manager

Our Client, a 53 bedded Nursing Home located in Co Galway providing excellent standards of facility care to the elderly, has a unique opportunity for an Experienced Nursing Manager, who is looking for a new challenge and working environment to lead an established team of Nurses and care staff whilst maintaining primary care attention of the residents.

Job Summary
The Nursing Manager needs to ensure that the highest standards of nursing care are delivered to residents of the home she/he must ensure the maintenance of a homely environment, with residents quality of life key to all activities of the home. The Nursing Manager is responsible for the physical environment and staff performance to ensure the home is conducive to meeting the physical and social needs of its residents

Must have knowledge of:
Current Nursing Home Regulations & Acts
Health & Safety at work 1989
New HIQA policies and implementation
An Bord Altranais' Code of Professional Conduct
Current registration with the Irish Nursing Board                                                                                                                

Skills:

Good management skills

Current registration with the Irish Nursing Board

Proven clinical track record

Able to supervise a team of 30 staff and have direct reporting from Senior Nurses, Senior Chef and Senior House keeping

The ideal Nurse will be offered a Permanent contract, an established team to work with, Management support and training and a friendly and welcomed working environment
